Narrative:
Flight attendant #1 was relieving the first officer for a bathroom break. I was flight attendant #4 and the #2 flight attendant and I had rolled the beverage cart to the 1ST row in main cabin to start our 2ND beverage service. The seatbelt sign was on, the #1 flight attendant entered the cockpit, I walked over to the first class area. The bumps were growing in movement. The #2 flight attendant and I brought the beverage cart forward, the first officer exited the lavatory and entered the cockpit. The #1 flight attendant stayed in cockpit. We parked the beverage cart in forward galley area. I made a PA that the seatbelt sign was on, remain seated. #2 flight attendant and I sat up front on jumpseats. Captain made a PA to have us seated and put carts away. Turbulence increased. Coffee splashed over galley in first class. Captain made PA, explaining what had happened, wanted carts put away and suspend service. No injuries reported from passenger or flight attendants and cockpit.
