Narrative:
On nov/thu/03, at approximately XA30 I was sent out to aircraft X to inspect fan blade damage to the #1 engine. My crew chief pulled up maintenance manual for and limits for repair. He instructed me how to blend the repair. After finishing repair, crew chief inspected the repair and signed off aircraft logbook. I personally did not read maintenance manual due to time constraints on departure of aircraft.
