Narrative:
Supervisor requested a tap test on surface area of outer skin panel on MD80 nose cowl and found delamination. Had cowl returned to shop. Marked delamination area on cowl for disposition of dayshift. Supplemental information from acn 603931: I was asked to go with technician to the test cell to see if the area had been repaired. Upon tap check, the area was found to be still delaminated. Upon removal of bottom skin cracks were found on lower panel internal ribs.
