Narrative:
While performing MEL procedures on aircraft #1 engine, MEL 74-1 ignition, I misidented the wires that were to be required by MEL 74-1, sp-74. Apparently, this caused the automatic speed brake not to automatic arm (green light). No other indications were noted. The problem was corrected at the next stop.

Title: A B737-300 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH #1 IGNITION DEFERRED PER THE MEL. SPECIAL PROCS FOR SWAPPING WIRING WERE NOT ACCOMPLISHED CORRECTLY.
Narrative: WHILE PERFORMING MEL PROCS ON ACFT #1 ENG, MEL 74-1 IGNITION, I MISIDENTED THE WIRES THAT WERE TO BE REQUIRED BY MEL 74-1, SP-74. APPARENTLY, THIS CAUSED THE AUTO SPD BRAKE NOT TO AUTO ARM (GREEN LIGHT). NO OTHER INDICATIONS WERE NOTED. THE PROB WAS CORRECTED AT THE NEXT STOP.
