Narrative:
Approximately 280 NM west of washing dulles airport, va, flight crew noticed left oil pressure variation from top of yellow arc to bottom. This fluctuation occurred for approximately 30 mins until the oil pressure dropped to below 50 psi. At that time the checklist was run for left engine shutdown as per flight manual. Left engine was shut down, potomac approach notified, emergency was declared and priority landing for runway 30 was accomplished. After landing, ATC was advised that no other services required and aircraft taxied normally to parking at FBO.

Title: ASTR CREW HAD FLUCTUATING AND LOW OIL PRESSURE. THE CREW SHUT DOWN THE ENG.
Narrative: APPROX 280 NM W OF WASHING DULLES ARPT, VA, FLT CREW NOTICED L OIL PRESSURE VARIATION FROM TOP OF YELLOW ARC TO BOTTOM. THIS FLUCTUATION OCCURRED FOR APPROX 30 MINS UNTIL THE OIL PRESSURE DROPPED TO BELOW 50 PSI. AT THAT TIME THE CHKLIST WAS RUN FOR L ENG SHUTDOWN AS PER FLT MANUAL. L ENG WAS SHUT DOWN, POTOMAC APCH NOTIFIED, EMER WAS DECLARED AND PRIORITY LNDG FOR RWY 30 WAS ACCOMPLISHED. AFTER LNDG, ATC WAS ADVISED THAT NO OTHER SVCS REQUIRED AND ACFT TAXIED NORMALLY TO PARKING AT FBO.
