Narrative:

Followed normal approach procedures, power settings, etc. No remarkable WX conditions. Nose gear collapsed after landing. Checked gear lights twice -- once at 'gear down' activation (on downwind), and once after turning final during gump check, 1/4 - 1/2 mi final. Cannot honestly say that looking at green lights that I saw 3 green. If I were to design a panel, I would place the 'down and locked' lights high on the panel and in front of the pilot, probably as led's. I can see where looking down at the triangle shape of 3 lights, the nose (center/top) light may not be noticed as being out. Not an excuse. I consider this a 'pilot error.'

Title: LOW TIME PA28 PLT EXPERIENCES THE COLLAPSE OF HIS NOSE GEAR AFTER LNDG AT A NON TWRED ARPT (71A3, IA).
