Narrative:
Was given taxi clearance to runway 24L via taxiway west. Read back and continued checklist. Signs were snow covered and hard to see. Taxied past taxiway west and was then given taxiway U runway 28, hold short runway 24L. With snow covering lines, and part of sign covered, we stopped approximately 50 ft past hold short line. Problem arose due to looking inside aircraft instead of out.

Narrative: WAS GIVEN TAXI CLRNC TO RWY 24L VIA TXWY W. READ BACK AND CONTINUED CHKLIST. SIGNS WERE SNOW COVERED AND HARD TO SEE. TAXIED PAST TXWY W AND WAS THEN GIVEN TXWY U RWY 28, HOLD SHORT RWY 24L. WITH SNOW COVERING LINES, AND PART OF SIGN COVERED, WE STOPPED APPROX 50 FT PAST HOLD SHORT LINE. PROB AROSE DUE TO LOOKING INSIDE ACFT INSTEAD OF OUT.
