Narrative:
During climb out flap slat handle was moved to '0/ret' and slat disagree light illuminated. Completed QRH flight-C 15. Returned to lax, flaps and slats extended normally. During return to lax performed an overweight landing to runway 25L at a weight of 131600 pounds. Used reverse thrust to slow to 80 KTS before applying minimal braking. Returned to gate while monitoring brake temperatures which never exceeded 200 degrees.

Narrative: DURING CLBOUT FLAP SLAT HANDLE WAS MOVED TO '0/RET' AND SLAT DISAGREE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. COMPLETED QRH FLT-C 15. RETURNED TO LAX, FLAPS AND SLATS EXTENDED NORMALLY. DURING RETURN TO LAX PERFORMED AN OVERWT LNDG TO RWY 25L AT A WT OF 131600 LBS. USED REVERSE THRUST TO SLOW TO 80 KTS BEFORE APPLYING MINIMAL BRAKING. RETURNED TO GATE WHILE MONITORING BRAKE TEMPS WHICH NEVER EXCEEDED 200 DEGS.
