Narrative:
I was working maintenance control third shift. It was my first night back, so I was fatigued. It was also busy and I was working alone. Early at approximately XA07, a captain on aircraft X reported water on the cockpit floor and a galley drain clog. I called contract maintenance and waited for them to assess the situation. During this time period, I got involved with an electrical problem potentially grounding a fleet of our aircraft. I was working intensively with our maintenance people and our technical representative of the aircraft involved. I received a call from contract maintenance regarding the galley drain on aircraft X. Water was cleaned up -- no other damage. The galley drain heat worked correctly. I entered the deferral in the computer, gave the mechanic instructions on paperwork and procedures and MEL'ed the galley drain. The paperwork was correct except I unintentionally entered the wrong tail number in the computer. This aircraft X was released without the MEL on its release and aircraft Y was released with the MEL on its release.

Title: 2 DC9-30 ACFT WERE DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH A DEFERRED GALLEY DRAIN PROB ENTERED ON THE WRONG AIRPLANE.
