Narrative:
Taxied to runway 36 at intersection B4, msn stop line. Did run-up with brakes set. During pretkof checklist, brakes released unknown to me and unnoticed. Began to roll toward runway 36. Heard ground advise to stop. Stopped short of runway 36 about 50 ft (never entered runway 36). Commuter jet took off on runway 36 in front of me. Upon return, I checked with mechanic who advised old seals in park brake mechanism probably leaked pressure in the cold. Suggested I replace. I intend to replace them as soon as possible. Called tower and discussed this incident with tower supervisor.
