Narrative:
We landed on runway 9R and exited on high speed taxiway T3 and were advised to taxi on taxiway T and hold short of runway 12. As we approached the high speed taxiway V, the first officer alerted me to slow down. He didn't think the air carrier Y airbus exiting the runway was going to stop. I looked over and saw him exiting at high speed and stopped our aircraft just in time. The airbus passed in front of us and tower cleared him to cross runway 12, then cleared us to cross as well. I made a comment that we should have been told about the airbus and tower apologized and said he thought we were going to be faster and be ahead of the airbus. That was not the case and if the first officer had not seen him out of the corner of his eye, it is probable that we would have hit him. I did not hear the tower advise the airbus as to whether or not to follow or go ahead of us. Supplemental information from acn 608815: miami ground did not tell us about him nor did air carrier have any intention of slowing down and giving way to us. I saw him and told captain that we had better stop. All ground had to say is that they thought we would have passed the high speed exit before it was a problem. We were taxiing slow and ground was busy talking to other aircraft at the time, but it was definitely a surprise to see the airbus heading for us at a high taxi speed without any warning.

Title: NEAR GND COLLISION AVOIDED WHEN A TAXIING B737-700 STOPS ON TXWY T SHORT OF TXWY V TO AVOID AN AIRBUS EXITING RWY 9R ONTO TXWY V AT MIA, FL.
Narrative: WE LANDED ON RWY 9R AND EXITED ON HIGH SPD TXWY T3 AND WERE ADVISED TO TAXI ON TXWY T AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 12. AS WE APCHED THE HIGH SPD TXWY V, THE FO ALERTED ME TO SLOW DOWN. HE DIDN'T THINK THE ACR Y AIRBUS EXITING THE RWY WAS GOING TO STOP. I LOOKED OVER AND SAW HIM EXITING AT HIGH SPD AND STOPPED OUR ACFT JUST IN TIME. THE AIRBUS PASSED IN FRONT OF US AND TWR CLRED HIM TO CROSS RWY 12, THEN CLRED US TO CROSS AS WELL. I MADE A COMMENT THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT THE AIRBUS AND TWR APOLOGIZED AND SAID HE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO BE FASTER AND BE AHEAD OF THE AIRBUS. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE AND IF THE FO HAD NOT SEEN HIM OUT OF THE CORNER OF HIS EYE, IT IS PROBABLE THAT WE WOULD HAVE HIT HIM. I DID NOT HEAR THE TWR ADVISE THE AIRBUS AS TO WHETHER OR NOT TO FOLLOW OR GO AHEAD OF US. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 608815: MIAMI GND DID NOT TELL US ABOUT HIM NOR DID ACR HAVE ANY INTENTION OF SLOWING DOWN AND GIVING WAY TO US. I SAW HIM AND TOLD CAPT THAT WE HAD BETTER STOP. ALL GND HAD TO SAY IS THAT THEY THOUGHT WE WOULD HAVE PASSED THE HIGH SPD EXIT BEFORE IT WAS A PROB. WE WERE TAXIING SLOW AND GND WAS BUSY TALKING TO OTHER ACFT AT THE TIME, BUT IT WAS DEFINITELY A SURPRISE TO SEE THE AIRBUS HEADING FOR US AT A HIGH TAXI SPD WITHOUT ANY WARNING.
