Narrative:
While on final approach for runway 18L into hsv, we were cleared for the visual approach and cleared to land. The first officer was flying the aircraft and he was high on the descent path. 2 military helicopters took off without clearance. The tower started questioning the traffic as to their position and asked them if they had the traffic in sight. Their response was 'negative,' we were not issued any TA's. TCASII showed traffic flying across the final approach course right to left, but no RA's were present. While I was looking outside for potential conflict with the traffic, the stick shaker activated. I immediately commanded a go around. The first officer flew the missed approach and landed uneventfully on runway 18R. Called the tower on the ground and they told me that a clearance deviation had been filed on the helicopter pilots. The first officer saw 1 helicopter on the right side and below us.

Title: ARRIVING AT HSV AND DISTR BY MIL HELIS TRANSITING THEIR APCH PATH WITHOUT A CLRNC, FLT CREW OF CL65 RECEIVE A STICK SHAKER STALL WARNING AND INITIATE GAR.
Narrative: WHILE ON FINAL APCH FOR RWY 18L INTO HSV, WE WERE CLRED FOR THE VISUAL APCH AND CLRED TO LAND. THE FO WAS FLYING THE ACFT AND HE WAS HIGH ON THE DSCNT PATH. 2 MIL HELIS TOOK OFF WITHOUT CLRNC. THE TWR STARTED QUESTIONING THE TFC AS TO THEIR POS AND ASKED THEM IF THEY HAD THE TFC IN SIGHT. THEIR RESPONSE WAS 'NEGATIVE,' WE WERE NOT ISSUED ANY TA'S. TCASII SHOWED TFC FLYING ACROSS THE FINAL APCH COURSE R TO L, BUT NO RA'S WERE PRESENT. WHILE I WAS LOOKING OUTSIDE FOR POTENTIAL CONFLICT WITH THE TFC, THE STICK SHAKER ACTIVATED. I IMMEDIATELY COMMANDED A GAR. THE FO FLEW THE MISSED APCH AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY ON RWY 18R. CALLED THE TWR ON THE GND AND THEY TOLD ME THAT A CLRNC DEV HAD BEEN FILED ON THE HELI PLTS. THE FO SAW 1 HELI ON THE R SIDE AND BELOW US.
