Narrative:
Prior to entering the traffic pattern for landing on runway 17, I thought I had selected the fullest fuel tank. On the turn from base to final the engine lost power. I thought I selected the correct tank, but was wrong. I continued to pump wobble pump trying to get fuel to the engine to no avail. While I was pumping aircraft wobble pump the other aircraft occupant was flying the airplane and selected a field for an emergency landing. The other occupant was able to land aircraft with the gear up safely in the field, and no injuries occurred. Supplemental information from acn 609658: the pilot panicked and threw the control over to the right side to me. All I had time to do was safely land the aircraft in an open field with the gear up.

Title: PLT OF BE35 SELECTS WRONG FUEL TANK FOR LNDG AND SUFFERS FUEL STARVATION. PLT AND PAX COMBINE FORCES TO ACCOMPLISH SUCCESSFUL OFF FIELD LNDG WITH THE GEAR RETRACTED.
Narrative: PRIOR TO ENTERING THE TFC PATTERN FOR LNDG ON RWY 17, I THOUGHT I HAD SELECTED THE FULLEST FUEL TANK. ON THE TURN FROM BASE TO FINAL THE ENG LOST PWR. I THOUGHT I SELECTED THE CORRECT TANK, BUT WAS WRONG. I CONTINUED TO PUMP WOBBLE PUMP TRYING TO GET FUEL TO THE ENG TO NO AVAIL. WHILE I WAS PUMPING ACFT WOBBLE PUMP THE OTHER ACFT OCCUPANT WAS FLYING THE AIRPLANE AND SELECTED A FIELD FOR AN EMER LNDG. THE OTHER OCCUPANT WAS ABLE TO LAND ACFT WITH THE GEAR UP SAFELY IN THE FIELD, AND NO INJURIES OCCURRED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 609658: THE PLT PANICKED AND THREW THE CTL OVER TO THE R SIDE TO ME. ALL I HAD TIME TO DO WAS SAFELY LAND THE ACFT IN AN OPEN FIELD WITH THE GEAR UP.
