Narrative:
After receiving clearance to taxi to runway 21 at the eugene airport, I mistakenly followed a taxi line across the hold short line at taxiway A6. As soon as I realized what I had done, I stopped the aircraft. Ground control then instructed me to do a 180 degree turn and taxi back across the hold short line. Ground control then gave me detailed progressive taxi instructions for getting to runway 21. I believe the primary factors behind this error were: 1) get thereitis -- I was anxious to get home. That caused me to rush my taxi preparations. I should have taken the time to retrieve and study the eugene airport diagram which I had on my clipboard. The clipboard was on the floor behind the front passenger seat. 2) fatigue -- I had flown 6 hours prior to this incident with only 2 short breaks for refueling and quick snacks. I should have taken a longer break at eugene or perhaps spent the night there instead of pressing on. I should have recognized the feeling of being rushed as a warning signal and not started out. In the future, I will incorporate that into my personal checklist for pilot fitness.

Title: A C177 SINGLE PLT HAD A RWY INCURSION WHILE TAXIING AT EUG.
Narrative: AFTER RECEIVING CLRNC TO TAXI TO RWY 21 AT THE EUGENE ARPT, I MISTAKENLY FOLLOWED A TAXI LINE ACROSS THE HOLD SHORT LINE AT TXWY A6. AS SOON AS I REALIZED WHAT I HAD DONE, I STOPPED THE ACFT. GND CTL THEN INSTRUCTED ME TO DO A 180 DEG TURN AND TAXI BACK ACROSS THE HOLD SHORT LINE. GND CTL THEN GAVE ME DETAILED PROGRESSIVE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING TO RWY 21. I BELIEVE THE PRIMARY FACTORS BEHIND THIS ERROR WERE: 1) GET THEREITIS -- I WAS ANXIOUS TO GET HOME. THAT CAUSED ME TO RUSH MY TAXI PREPARATIONS. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO RETRIEVE AND STUDY THE EUGENE ARPT DIAGRAM WHICH I HAD ON MY CLIPBOARD. THE CLIPBOARD WAS ON THE FLOOR BEHIND THE FRONT PAX SEAT. 2) FATIGUE -- I HAD FLOWN 6 HRS PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT WITH ONLY 2 SHORT BREAKS FOR REFUELING AND QUICK SNACKS. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A LONGER BREAK AT EUGENE OR PERHAPS SPENT THE NIGHT THERE INSTEAD OF PRESSING ON. I SHOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED THE FEELING OF BEING RUSHED AS A WARNING SIGNAL AND NOT STARTED OUT. IN THE FUTURE, I WILL INCORPORATE THAT INTO MY PERSONAL CHKLIST FOR PLT FITNESS.
