Narrative:

I had just come in from miami to cancun and went over to my flight to come back to miami. The agents had already begun boarding. I went ahead and got on and, as I was getting on, I noticed a couple in front of me, who were talking to the #1 flight attendant. The #1 flight attendant was shaking his head no again and again. When I got on and greeted him and the #3 flight attendant, I asked him what the man had said. He had asked #1 flight attendant if he could upgrade to first class, because he was on his 'honeymoon,' plus, 'he was a policeman in nyc.' of course, #1 flight attendant told him he could not, that it was the agent only, who could do that. After putting away my bags, I went back to business class to meet the flight attendants there. I was standing in about row XXX, when this same man came to the back, lightly took my arm to get my undivided attention, and asked me the same thing with the same story. Honeymoon, policeman, etc. I told him that I had no authority/authorized to upgrade him, that only the agent or the purser could do that. He asked if he could give #1 flight attendant a 'couple of dollars' to upgrade him. He'd done that with the agent on the way down to cancun to get upgraded to first class. He asked me if I thought if he went to the front and asked the purser again, perhaps he'd let him and his 'wife' upgrade to first class. I told him I didn't think so, but he kept asking me over and over, so I told him to go, just to get him away from me. He went to the front, but #1 flight attendant turned him down again. This man was very persistent. I did the beverage service, as the #5 flight attendant, forward-aft. This man, and his 'wife' had only soft drinks. I never smelled any alcohol. He rang his call light several times during the flight. Once for another form, then another time, I went to answer the call light, and all he said when he looked at me was, 'pen.' I told him I did not have one. After pickup, I went to the back and sat down. I noticed his 'wife' talking to #2 flight attendant. Then this woman walked all the way to the front to talk to #1 flight attendant. #1 flight attendant had made the PA asking everyone to stay in their designated cabins and not cross over, for security reasons. Obviously, this woman did not think that applied to her. She went up and talked to #1 flight attendant. I watched her walk up there, but did not hear the conversation. She came back to her seat and shortly thereafter, the man walked up to first class to talk to #1 flight attendant again. This was in the middle of the flight. 1 hour and 10 mins flight! I did not hear that conversation, but it must have made this man very angry. He rang his call light again and I answered it, again. He told me that he didn't speak english very well, that his 'wife' did she was hispanic, and he may have said something that he thought was something else. He called #1 flight attendant a bad name in spanish. Judging from this man's personality, he knew exactly what he was saying. He told me that he wants that guy's name and badge number. He wanted to talk to the captain and if there was a federal air marshall on board, he wanted to talk to him, too. I told him that all this would be settled on the ground, after we landed, and I walked away. This did not satisfy him in the least. The PA was made to prepare for landing. We picked up the remaining service items and did our safety check. #2 and #4 flight attendants were just strapping into their jumpseats. I was in the back galley. This man came storming to the back and just stood there, waiting for one of us to look at him. I did not want to, as I'd just dealt with him, and he was obviously quite angry. #4 flight attendant, acknowledged him. This man said he wanted to see him and everyone, including the captain, on the ground. He said this in a very angry, demanding voice. #4 flight attendant told him 'fine, now go situation down.' the man sat down and I went to my jumpseat for landing. Not long after we landed, this man's call light went on again. I refused to answer it, as I knew it was this angry man. #3 flight attendant was on the phone to the pilot. We had to wait for our gate for a few mins, as there was traffic in the alleyway. When we arrived at the gate, #1 flight attendant made an announcement to stay seated until another announcement was made that it was safe to leave. I looked outside and there were several tsa agents, policemen, and my manager. They opened the door and asked #1 flight attendant what happened. They asked for us to identify him when he got off. When I saw him approaching, I jumped out, onto the jetbridge and told them that it was a big, blond haired man, with a blue shirt on. They detained him and his wife. We all got off the plane and 3 of us gave the auths the information they asked for. When the man and his 'wife' left, for immigration, they passed right by us and he glared at #1 flight attendant's identify trying to get his name, number, etc. I told him to get away and go on. #1 flight attendant has told me he is pressing charges.

Title: A FLT ATTENDANT RPTED THAT AN AGGRESSIVE PAX MISBEHAVED DURING A FLT FROM MMUN TO MIA WHICH REQUIRED A POLICE RESPONSE AT THE GATE.

Narrative: I HAD JUST COME IN FROM MIAMI TO CANCUN AND WENT OVER TO MY FLT TO COME BACK TO MIAMI. THE AGENTS HAD ALREADY BEGUN BOARDING. I WENT AHEAD AND GOT ON AND, AS I WAS GETTING ON, I NOTICED A COUPLE IN FRONT OF ME, WHO WERE TALKING TO THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT. THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT WAS SHAKING HIS HEAD NO AGAIN AND AGAIN. WHEN I GOT ON AND GREETED HIM AND THE #3 FLT ATTENDANT, I ASKED HIM WHAT THE MAN HAD SAID. HE HAD ASKED #1 FLT ATTENDANT IF HE COULD UPGRADE TO FIRST CLASS, BECAUSE HE WAS ON HIS 'HONEYMOON,' PLUS, 'HE WAS A POLICEMAN IN NYC.' OF COURSE, #1 FLT ATTENDANT TOLD HIM HE COULD NOT, THAT IT WAS THE AGENT ONLY, WHO COULD DO THAT. AFTER PUTTING AWAY MY BAGS, I WENT BACK TO BUSINESS CLASS TO MEET THE FLT ATTENDANTS THERE. I WAS STANDING IN ABOUT ROW XXX, WHEN THIS SAME MAN CAME TO THE BACK, LIGHTLY TOOK MY ARM TO GET MY UNDIVIDED ATTN, AND ASKED ME THE SAME THING WITH THE SAME STORY. HONEYMOON, POLICEMAN, ETC. I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD NO AUTH TO UPGRADE HIM, THAT ONLY THE AGENT OR THE PURSER COULD DO THAT. HE ASKED IF HE COULD GIVE #1 FLT ATTENDANT A 'COUPLE OF DOLLARS' TO UPGRADE HIM. HE'D DONE THAT WITH THE AGENT ON THE WAY DOWN TO CANCUN TO GET UPGRADED TO FIRST CLASS. HE ASKED ME IF I THOUGHT IF HE WENT TO THE FRONT AND ASKED THE PURSER AGAIN, PERHAPS HE'D LET HIM AND HIS 'WIFE' UPGRADE TO FIRST CLASS. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T THINK SO, BUT HE KEPT ASKING ME OVER AND OVER, SO I TOLD HIM TO GO, JUST TO GET HIM AWAY FROM ME. HE WENT TO THE FRONT, BUT #1 FLT ATTENDANT TURNED HIM DOWN AGAIN. THIS MAN WAS VERY PERSISTENT. I DID THE BEVERAGE SVC, AS THE #5 FLT ATTENDANT, FORWARD-AFT. THIS MAN, AND HIS 'WIFE' HAD ONLY SOFT DRINKS. I NEVER SMELLED ANY ALCOHOL. HE RANG HIS CALL LIGHT SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE FLT. ONCE FOR ANOTHER FORM, THEN ANOTHER TIME, I WENT TO ANSWER THE CALL LIGHT, AND ALL HE SAID WHEN HE LOOKED AT ME WAS, 'PEN.' I TOLD HIM I DID NOT HAVE ONE. AFTER PICKUP, I WENT TO THE BACK AND SAT DOWN. I NOTICED HIS 'WIFE' TALKING TO #2 FLT ATTENDANT. THEN THIS WOMAN WALKED ALL THE WAY TO THE FRONT TO TALK TO #1 FLT ATTENDANT. #1 FLT ATTENDANT HAD MADE THE PA ASKING EVERYONE TO STAY IN THEIR DESIGNATED CABINS AND NOT CROSS OVER, FOR SECURITY REASONS. OBVIOUSLY, THIS WOMAN DID NOT THINK THAT APPLIED TO HER. SHE WENT UP AND TALKED TO #1 FLT ATTENDANT. I WATCHED HER WALK UP THERE, BUT DID NOT HEAR THE CONVERSATION. SHE CAME BACK TO HER SEAT AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE MAN WALKED UP TO FIRST CLASS TO TALK TO #1 FLT ATTENDANT AGAIN. THIS WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLT. 1 HR AND 10 MINS FLT! I DID NOT HEAR THAT CONVERSATION, BUT IT MUST HAVE MADE THIS MAN VERY ANGRY. HE RANG HIS CALL LIGHT AGAIN AND I ANSWERED IT, AGAIN. HE TOLD ME THAT HE DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL, THAT HIS 'WIFE' DID SHE WAS HISPANIC, AND HE MAY HAVE SAID SOMETHING THAT HE THOUGHT WAS SOMETHING ELSE. HE CALLED #1 FLT ATTENDANT A BAD NAME IN SPANISH. JUDGING FROM THIS MAN'S PERSONALITY, HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS SAYING. HE TOLD ME THAT HE WANTS THAT GUY'S NAME AND BADGE NUMBER. HE WANTED TO TALK TO THE CAPT AND IF THERE WAS A FEDERAL AIR MARSHALL ON BOARD, HE WANTED TO TALK TO HIM, TOO. I TOLD HIM THAT ALL THIS WOULD BE SETTLED ON THE GND, AFTER WE LANDED, AND I WALKED AWAY. THIS DID NOT SATISFY HIM IN THE LEAST. THE PA WAS MADE TO PREPARE FOR LNDG. WE PICKED UP THE REMAINING SVC ITEMS AND DID OUR SAFETY CHK. #2 AND #4 FLT ATTENDANTS WERE JUST STRAPPING INTO THEIR JUMPSEATS. I WAS IN THE BACK GALLEY. THIS MAN CAME STORMING TO THE BACK AND JUST STOOD THERE, WAITING FOR ONE OF US TO LOOK AT HIM. I DID NOT WANT TO, AS I'D JUST DEALT WITH HIM, AND HE WAS OBVIOUSLY QUITE ANGRY. #4 FLT ATTENDANT, ACKNOWLEDGED HIM. THIS MAN SAID HE WANTED TO SEE HIM AND EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE CAPT, ON THE GND. HE SAID THIS IN A VERY ANGRY, DEMANDING VOICE. #4 FLT ATTENDANT TOLD HIM 'FINE, NOW GO SIT DOWN.' THE MAN SAT DOWN AND I WENT TO MY JUMPSEAT FOR LNDG. NOT LONG AFTER WE LANDED, THIS MAN'S CALL LIGHT WENT ON AGAIN. I REFUSED TO ANSWER IT, AS I KNEW IT WAS THIS ANGRY MAN. #3 FLT ATTENDANT WAS ON THE PHONE TO THE PLT. WE HAD TO WAIT FOR OUR GATE FOR A FEW MINS, AS THERE WAS TFC IN THE ALLEYWAY. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE GATE, #1 FLT ATTENDANT MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO STAY SEATED UNTIL ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT WAS MADE THAT IT WAS SAFE TO LEAVE. I LOOKED OUTSIDE AND THERE WERE SEVERAL TSA AGENTS, POLICEMEN, AND MY MGR. THEY OPENED THE DOOR AND ASKED #1 FLT ATTENDANT WHAT HAPPENED. THEY ASKED FOR US TO IDENT HIM WHEN HE GOT OFF. WHEN I SAW HIM APCHING, I JUMPED OUT, ONTO THE JETBRIDGE AND TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS A BIG, BLOND HAIRED MAN, WITH A BLUE SHIRT ON. THEY DETAINED HIM AND HIS WIFE. WE ALL GOT OFF THE PLANE AND 3 OF US GAVE THE AUTHS THE INFO THEY ASKED FOR. WHEN THE MAN AND HIS 'WIFE' LEFT, FOR IMMIGRATION, THEY PASSED RIGHT BY US AND HE GLARED AT #1 FLT ATTENDANT'S IDENT TRYING TO GET HIS NAME, NUMBER, ETC. I TOLD HIM TO GET AWAY AND GO ON. #1 FLT ATTENDANT HAS TOLD ME HE IS PRESSING CHARGES.
