Narrative:

During takeoff from ZZZ runway 24L, the crew of another air carrier informed us and the tower via the tower frequency that our aircraft had the right engine cowl separate during our takeoff. There was no noticeable vibration or odd engine indications. No emergency was declared. We consulted company maintenance and elected to divert to ZZZ1. The dispatch release was amended with our dispatcher. Landing was normal in ZZZ1. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the cowling departed the aircraft on takeoff and was reported by another aircraft. The reporter said he did not know how much of the cowling departed the aircraft but pictures of the engine missing the cowling were available and would make these available.
