Narrative:
Decided not to continue on a solo cross country, due to winds and gusts above forecast. On return to home airport (1c2), I positioned myself for a straight-in approach for runway 31. In the flare and about 6-8 ft off the runway, the nose of the plane was lifted 2-3 ft, then came down to the runway, landing on the nosewheel. As the wheel depressed, the propeller struck the runway. It did not stop the engine and I was able to taxi back to the ramp.
