Narrative:

On mar/wed/04, company aircraft had an air return for #2 engine oil pressure, zero oil quantity. On mar/tue/04, I performed an A-2 check on aircraft per the 'a' check paperwork. I removed the engine chip detectors, inspected them, re-installed them, put the safety latch back in place, and leak checked them. I doublechked the safety latch when I wiped the residual oil off of it. I checked it again when I did the leak check. It was latched correctly.

Title: A B737-300 RETURNED TO THE FIELD DUE TO LOSS OF #2 ENG OIL PRESSURE AND QUANTITY. THE #2 ENG WAS SHUT DOWN INFLT.

Narrative: ON MAR/WED/04, COMPANY ACFT HAD AN AIR RETURN FOR #2 ENG OIL PRESSURE, ZERO OIL QUANTITY. ON MAR/TUE/04, I PERFORMED AN A-2 CHK ON ACFT PER THE 'A' CHK PAPERWORK. I CHKED IT AGAIN WHEN I DID THE LEAK CHK. IT WAS LATCHED CORRECTLY.
