Narrative:
It is past midnight and we were delayed due to maintenance. We were told to taxi to runway 23 via C10 and cross runway 18L. I missed the left turn onto taxiway M on runway 18L and I crossed runway 23. Been on duty for 12 hours. I was getting tired and we did our before takeoff checks during taxiing. What I learned from this and will change is to not do any checklist during taxiing. Also, our taxi route was unusual (at least for me). If I slow things down and pay extra attention when dark, this should not happen again.

Title: RWY INCURSION DURING A NIGHT OP BY A TAXIING CL65 PIC AT CLT, NC.
Narrative: IT IS PAST MIDNIGHT AND WE WERE DELAYED DUE TO MAINT. WE WERE TOLD TO TAXI TO RWY 23 VIA C10 AND CROSS RWY 18L. I MISSED THE L TURN ONTO TXWY M ON RWY 18L AND I CROSSED RWY 23. ALSO, OUR TAXI RTE WAS UNUSUAL (AT LEAST FOR ME). IF I SLOW THINGS DOWN AND PAY EXTRA ATTN WHEN DARK, THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
