Narrative:
I have been in and out of addison many times. 4 times in the next week after this event of which 2 were in the barron and 2 in a hawker. I was cleared to taxi to runway 33. There were a couple of planes ahead of me and I asked ground if I could take one of the intxns near the end of runway 33. He approved this. By the time I got down there, the other aircraft had been cleared for takeoff and I taxied to the end. I called tower and told them I was ready for takeoff on runway 33. I thought I heard 'barron X, taxi into position and hold full length.' I thought I repeated this. I was holding and the controller came on and said 'barron X.' I replied and he then told me he cleared me to taxi up to and hold short. I apologized and offered to expedite off the runway, and he told me to continue holding in position. Approximately 15 seconds later, he cleared me for takeoff. I tried to call saturday and sunday, but no answer from the tower phone. One of the two of us made a mistake. The controller was very nice and professional. The one thing I do remember 100% was the quote of 'full length' in the statement from him. I certainly thought it was a clearance to taxi position and hold full length as the other aircraft was on the roll and there was no other airplane close to the airport for landing. I was wearing headsets. I could hear very well and there is really no excuse other than miscom. I have a hard time believing I read back hold short and continued to taxi. If I did do this, this is a first in almost 9000 hours of flying.

Title: BE55 TAXIED INTO POS AT ADS WITHOUT ATC CLRNC.

I THOUGHT I HEARD 'BARRON X, TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD FULL LENGTH.' I THOUGHT I REPEATED THIS. I WAS HOLDING AND THE CTLR CAME ON AND SAID 'BARRON X.'
