Narrative:

I had parked at the FBO for fuel, called ground control for clearance to taxi. Ground gave permission to taxi to runway 17. The parking area is connected directly to the runway with pavement markings identing the taxiway. I thought I was entering the taxiway but entered the runway. Ground control was alert and called me as I crossed the holding bars. I stopped short of the runway and asked ground what they wanted me to do.

Title: A BE19 LOW TIME SINGLE PLT INCURRED ON RWY 17 AT VLD.

Narrative: I HAD PARKED AT THE FBO FOR FUEL, CALLED GND CTL FOR CLRNC TO TAXI. GND GAVE PERMISSION TO TAXI TO RWY 17. THE PARKING AREA IS CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE RWY WITH PAVEMENT MARKINGS IDENTING THE TXWY. I THOUGHT I WAS ENTERING THE TXWY BUT ENTERED THE RWY.
