Narrative:

After contacting sanford ground control, I was directed to taxi to runway 27C at taxiway right. As I taxied east on the taxiway perpendicular to taxiway right, I saw the intersection sign for taxiway right. I noticed a C172 holding short of a runway, so I proceeded to position the aircraft to be #2 for the runway. As I made a northbound turn onto taxiway right, I got a call from ground asking me if I had already talked to tower. I replied with a 'negative.' I was then told to proceed forward and make a u-turn and hold short. Unfortunately, it was then that I realized that what I thought to be another perpendicular taxiway was actually runway 27C and the C172 I was trying to position behind was at runway 27R.

Title: A PA27 SINGLE PLT, TAXIING AT SFB, INCURRED ON RWY 27C, WHICH HE THOUGHT WAS TXWY R.

Narrative: AFTER CONTACTING SANFORD GND CTL, I WAS DIRECTED TO TAXI TO RWY 27C AT TXWY R. AS I TAXIED E ON THE TXWY PERPENDICULAR TO TXWY R, I SAW THE INTXN SIGN FOR TXWY R. I NOTICED A C172 HOLDING SHORT OF A RWY, SO I PROCEEDED TO POS THE ACFT TO BE #2 FOR THE RWY. AS I MADE A NBOUND TURN ONTO TXWY R, I GOT A CALL FROM GND ASKING ME IF I HAD ALREADY TALKED TO TWR. I REPLIED WITH A 'NEGATIVE.' I WAS THEN TOLD TO PROCEED FORWARD AND MAKE A U-TURN AND HOLD SHORT. UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS THEN THAT I REALIZED THAT WHAT I THOUGHT TO BE ANOTHER PERPENDICULAR TXWY WAS ACTUALLY RWY 27C AND THE C172 I WAS TRYING TO POS BEHIND WAS AT RWY 27R.
