Aircraft was released with an item deferred that should have been deferred item with time limit rechk. I may have mis-entered information into computer. Item was in regards to checking service of nose landing gear strut.

Narrative: ACFT WAS RELEASED WITH AN ITEM DEFERRED THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DEFERRED ITEM WITH TIME LIMIT RECHK. I MAY HAVE MIS-ENTERED INFO INTO COMPUTER. ITEM WAS IN REGARDS TO CHKING SVC OF NOSE LNDG GEAR STRUT.
