Narrative:

After we were cleared for takeoff, tower told us to cancel takeoff clearance due to possible runway incursion downfield (aircraft never crossed runway). We rejected the takeoff and followed company procedures. Our training in simulator reflected line operations for the rejected takeoff. Good job by tower as a precaution.
