Narrative:
Departed iah airport runway 33R. After a positive rate of climb, the landing gear handle was placed in the up position. At 1000 ft MSL after flap retraction, a gear up disagreement master warning message was displayed. The indication was for the nose gear. The abnormal and all normal checklists were completed for return to land at iah airport runway 9. The landing was completed successfully. The nosewheel steering was inoperative, and a tug was secured to return the aircraft to the gate. While waiting for the tug to arrive, a hydraulic 3 high temperature caution message indication was displayed. Performed abnormal checklist and followed maintenance personnel instructions. Aircraft was returned to gate under tow without any further incidents. Flight attendant and passenger were notified during the entire event.
