Narrative:
Taking off on runway 8R at hnl. At 100 KIAS, an EICAS message alert (right jet xfer valve) appeared. Due to this cautionary message, I chose to abort takeoff. We taxied off the runway and followed procedure which did not require calling fire trucks. We contacted the company and I decided to return to the gate. After we blocked in, the mechanics informed us that one of the main brakes overheated and caught on fire and they had called the fire trucks to put it out. We swapped airplanes and departed.
