Narrative:
Under VFR conditions at fll, we were vectored for the ILS runway 9L. About 10-15 mi out, we were given a heading to intercept the localizer and were cleared for the approach. At intercept, both localizer displays were lost (ie, CDI was gone and red X appeared). I checked the audio and heard what appeared to be broadcast audio. I advised ATC and he cleared us for a visual approach. As we got closer to the airport the signal returned and indicated normally. Also, the identify was heard again. Thank you captain XXX.
