Narrative:
During downwind leg in descent 3000 ft, with engines at idle passing through 3500 ft, EICAS messages and associated lights indicated left generator failure. With further observation, it appeared our left engine had flamed out. Left engine did not respond to throttle movement. Oil pressure was declining and red. At 3 psi, we shut engine down by selecting cutoff on the fuel control switch. Captain (PF) declared emergency with TRACON and requested present heading. Captain climbed back up to 4000 ft during event and TRACON approved the present heading and reclred us to maintain 4000 ft. Left engine was then restarted in accordance with operation manual. Engine started normally and all parameters were normal, except for EICAS message showing left engine lp pump. Supplemental information from acn 617224: engine operated normally for remainder of flight including thrust reversal and rollout. Tower was called. Dispatch was also informed via telephone. Status message after arrival left engine lp pump maybe indicative of fuel pressure problem.

Title: INFLT FLAMEOUT NOTED ON THE #1 ENG ON A B752 WHEN CREW NOTED EICAS MESSAGE RELATED TO L GENERATOR FAILURE ON DOWNWIND. EMER DECLARED DURING ALT EXCURSION AND ENG RESTART ACCOMPLISHED WITH A SUBSEQUENT LNDG AT MCO, FL.
Narrative: DURING DOWNWIND LEG IN DSCNT 3000 FT, WITH ENGS AT IDLE PASSING THROUGH 3500 FT, EICAS MESSAGES AND ASSOCIATED LIGHTS INDICATED L GENERATOR FAILURE. WITH FURTHER OBSERVATION, IT APPEARED OUR L ENG HAD FLAMED OUT. L ENG DID NOT RESPOND TO THROTTLE MOVEMENT. OIL PRESSURE WAS DECLINING AND RED. AT 3 PSI, WE SHUT ENG DOWN BY SELECTING CUTOFF ON THE FUEL CTL SWITCH. CAPT (PF) DECLARED EMER WITH TRACON AND REQUESTED PRESENT HDG. CAPT CLBED BACK UP TO 4000 FT DURING EVENT AND TRACON APPROVED THE PRESENT HDG AND RECLRED US TO MAINTAIN 4000 FT. L ENG WAS THEN RESTARTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH OP MANUAL. ENG STARTED NORMALLY AND ALL PARAMETERS WERE NORMAL, EXCEPT FOR EICAS MESSAGE SHOWING L ENG LP PUMP. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 617224: ENG OPERATED NORMALLY FOR REMAINDER OF FLT INCLUDING THRUST REVERSAL AND ROLLOUT. TWR WAS CALLED. DISPATCH WAS ALSO INFORMED VIA TELEPHONE. STATUS MESSAGE AFTER ARR L ENG LP PUMP MAYBE INDICATIVE OF FUEL PRESSURE PROB.
