Narrative:
Working the flat rock approach position of the james river sector of pct. I was working an increasingly heavy traffic period. The supervisor on duty plugged into the associate position and started making extremely distracting comments. He then decided he didn't like the appearance of the radar scope and changed it to his preferences, completely destroying my perspective of the traffic situation. I was then alerted to a traffic conflict by the atcs (air traffic control specialist) working the tappa position and took immediate action to remedy the situation. The supervisor took no action. I was informed by the atcs working the tappa position at a later time that the supervisor asked them if the aircraft involved, that they were working, 'said anything.' when the controller's response was, 'no,' the supervisor informed them he was 'not going to do anything.' it has now been a period of several days with no action being taken and I do not wish to be involved with hiding this operational error.

Title: PCT CTLR BELIEVES SEPARATION WAS LOST WITH AN ACFT UNDER HIS CTL DURING SUPVR INVOLVEMENT WITH CHANGING THE CTLR'S RADAR PRESENTATION WITHOUT HIS CONSENT. CONFLICT RECOGNIZED BY ADJOINING SECTOR'S CTLR.
Narrative: WORKING THE FLAT ROCK APCH POS OF THE JAMES RIVER SECTOR OF PCT. I WAS WORKING AN INCREASINGLY HVY TFC PERIOD. THE SUPVR ON DUTY PLUGGED INTO THE ASSOCIATE POS AND STARTED MAKING EXTREMELY DISTRACTING COMMENTS. HE THEN DECIDED HE DIDN'T LIKE THE APPEARANCE OF THE RADAR SCOPE AND CHANGED IT TO HIS PREFERENCES, COMPLETELY DESTROYING MY PERSPECTIVE OF THE TFC SIT. I WAS THEN ALERTED TO A TFC CONFLICT BY THE ATCS (AIR TFC CTL SPECIALIST) WORKING THE TAPPA POS AND TOOK IMMEDIATE ACTION TO REMEDY THE SIT. THE SUPVR TOOK NO ACTION. I WAS INFORMED BY THE ATCS WORKING THE TAPPA POS AT A LATER TIME THAT THE SUPVR ASKED THEM IF THE ACFT INVOLVED, THAT THEY WERE WORKING, 'SAID ANYTHING.' WHEN THE CTLR'S RESPONSE WAS, 'NO,' THE SUPVR INFORMED THEM HE WAS 'NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING.' IT HAS NOW BEEN A PERIOD OF SEVERAL DAYS WITH NO ACTION BEING TAKEN AND I DO NOT WISH TO BE INVOLVED WITH HIDING THIS OPERROR.
