Narrative:
While repositioning aircraft X from the hangar at midway airport to gate, I received instructions to push back onto taxiway north and face my nose east. ATC then gave instructions to take txwys north, P, and hold short runway 22R. I continued to proceed by taxiing. I saw the taxiway P sign and I thought I was cleared to taxiway P. I therefore proceeded to cross the runway. Because I was taught that while taxiing, you go to the last place ATC instructs you to go, I proceeded to taxiway P. However, the taxiway P sign is after runway 22R. Therefore, due to the ambiguity of the instructions, I inadvertently crossed the runway. Nobody was injured and there was no damage to any property. However, in order to make sure that this never happens, again, I suggest placing a taxiway sign before runway 22R. I also would like to see that the particular spot be emphasized in the, taxi class taught by the city as well as in the company run-taxi class.

Title: MAINT TAXI PERSON, WHEN TOLD TO HOLD SHORT, TAXIES ACROSS RWY 22R ON TXWY P AT MDW, WITHOUT AN ATC CLRNC.
Narrative: WHILE REPOSITIONING ACFT X FROM THE HANGAR AT MIDWAY ARPT TO GATE, I RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS TO PUSH BACK ONTO TXWY N AND FACE MY NOSE E. ATC THEN GAVE INSTRUCTIONS TO TAKE TXWYS N, P, AND HOLD SHORT RWY 22R. I CONTINUED TO PROCEED BY TAXIING. I SAW THE TXWY P SIGN AND I THOUGHT I WAS CLRED TO TXWY P. I THEREFORE PROCEEDED TO CROSS THE RWY. BECAUSE I WAS TAUGHT THAT WHILE TAXIING, YOU GO TO THE LAST PLACE ATC INSTRUCTS YOU TO GO, I PROCEEDED TO TXWY P. HOWEVER, THE TXWY P SIGN IS AFTER RWY 22R. THEREFORE, DUE TO THE AMBIGUITY OF THE INSTRUCTIONS, I INADVERTENTLY CROSSED THE RWY. NOBODY WAS INJURED AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO ANY PROPERTY. HOWEVER, IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS NEVER HAPPENS, AGAIN, I SUGGEST PLACING A TXWY SIGN BEFORE RWY 22R. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT THE PARTICULAR SPOT BE EMPHASIZED IN THE, TAXI CLASS TAUGHT BY THE CITY AS WELL AS IN THE COMPANY RUN-TAXI CLASS.
