Narrative:
On may/mon/04 I was supposed to take my first solo flight into one of the airport practice areas. Once I reached the runway, I was instructed to taxi into position and hold for takeoff. I understood this procedure but was very nervous about proceeding because a large jet ahd just landed and I had no wake turbulence experience. I thought that because of my lack of experience I should request to hold short and wait for it to clear, so I did. The controller bluntly responded by saying not to disobey a command and ended with a hold short instruction. With my nerves running on high octane, I thought he meant get your plane out on the runway, but he didn't, and I made the mistake of reverting back to the first command to taxi into position and hold. I felt horrible when I found out about the miscom and called tower immediately after landing to apologize. Now I make sure I fully understand each radio call and plan to buy a radio call computer program to get used to the speed at which communication is made.

Title: STUDENT PLT OF C152, WITH 25 HRS, INSTRUCTED TO POS AND HOLD BUT HELD SHORT FEARING WAKE TURB FROM A LARGE JET THAT JUST LANDED. WHEN QUESTIONED BY THE EUG ATCT LCL CTLR FOR FAILING TO COMPLY, HE THEN TAXIED INTO POS NOT REALIZING THE CTLR HAD CANCELED HIS CLRNC TO DO SO.
Narrative: ON MAY/MON/04 I WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE MY FIRST SOLO FLT INTO ONE OF THE ARPT PRACTICE AREAS. ONCE I REACHED THE RWY, I WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD FOR TKOF. I UNDERSTOOD THIS PROC BUT WAS VERY NERVOUS ABOUT PROCEEDING BECAUSE A LARGE JET AHD JUST LANDED AND I HAD NO WAKE TURB EXPERIENCE. I THOUGHT THAT BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF EXPERIENCE I SHOULD REQUEST TO HOLD SHORT AND WAIT FOR IT TO CLR, SO I DID. THE CTLR BLUNTLY RESPONDED BY SAYING NOT TO DISOBEY A COMMAND AND ENDED WITH A HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTION. WITH MY NERVES RUNNING ON HIGH OCTANE, I THOUGHT HE MEANT GET YOUR PLANE OUT ON THE RWY, BUT HE DIDN'T, AND I MADE THE MISTAKE OF REVERTING BACK TO THE FIRST COMMAND TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD. I FELT HORRIBLE WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE MISCOM AND CALLED TWR IMMEDIATELY AFTER LNDG TO APOLOGIZE. NOW I MAKE SURE I FULLY UNDERSTAND EACH RADIO CALL AND PLAN TO BUY A RADIO CALL COMPUTER PROGRAM TO GET USED TO THE SPD AT WHICH COM IS MADE.
