Narrative:
During preflight, I failed to notice the thrust reverse indicators were not installed. When thrust reverser is inoperative, their indicators protrude out of their recess holes. These indicators were not replaced during the maintenance fix, and were going to be installed upon our arrival in ZZZ1.

Title: A B737-400 DURING REPAIR AND ACTIVATION OF AN ENG THRUST REVERSER, THE THRUST REVERSER INDICATORS WERE NOT INSTALLED.
Narrative: DURING PREFLT, I FAILED TO NOTICE THE THRUST REVERSE INDICATORS WERE NOT INSTALLED. WHEN THRUST REVERSER IS INOP, THEIR INDICATORS PROTRUDE OUT OF THEIR RECESS HOLES. THESE INDICATORS WERE NOT REPLACED DURING THE MAINT FIX, AND WERE GOING TO BE INSTALLED UPON OUR ARR IN ZZZ1.
