Narrative:

While on an IFR flight originating from lit to bjc, I had been flying approximately 1.5 hours when a fuel leak began from the left nacelle tank top. A small amount of fuel was continuously flowing off the top, running aft of the nacelle towards the trailing edge of the wing. I noted no major changes in fuel flow or quantity from the left side. I notified ZKC that I would need to divert, ict being the closest facility, we diverted. An uneventful landing was made at ict. We went to the FBO and had the problem checked by an authority/authorized technician and returned to service.
