Narrative:
Arriving from the east in a descent after having flown through mullan pass, good visibility and 15-20 KT tailwind. Planning to land sff (felts county), which has dual parallel runways. Misidented ska (fairchild AFB) as sff. Ska is depicted with a single runway, but has a very large taxiway which looks like a second runway, and is likewise oriented. In addition it is directly along the line of flight from the pass to sff, but 20 NM further west. On setting up for a descent to the wrong airport, entered spokane class C over sff at 6200 ft MSL, recognized the error over sff and reported to sff tower. On direction by tower, descended to 3000 ft MSL pattern altitude over sff and landed uneventfully. Preventive measure is to always have an electronic 'fix' on an unfamiliar landing field and to not rely on sight identify.

Title: A C152 ATP PLT STARTS A VISUAL APCH TO THE WRONG ARPT AND, WITHOUT CLRNC, ENTERS THE CLASS C OF GEG, WA.
Narrative: ARRIVING FROM THE E IN A DSCNT AFTER HAVING FLOWN THROUGH MULLAN PASS, GOOD VISIBILITY AND 15-20 KT TAILWIND. PLANNING TO LAND SFF (FELTS COUNTY), WHICH HAS DUAL PARALLEL RWYS. MISIDENTED SKA (FAIRCHILD AFB) AS SFF. SKA IS DEPICTED WITH A SINGLE RWY, BUT HAS A VERY LARGE TXWY WHICH LOOKS LIKE A SECOND RWY, AND IS LIKEWISE ORIENTED. IN ADDITION IT IS DIRECTLY ALONG THE LINE OF FLT FROM THE PASS TO SFF, BUT 20 NM FURTHER W. ON SETTING UP FOR A DSCNT TO THE WRONG ARPT, ENTERED SPOKANE CLASS C OVER SFF AT 6200 FT MSL, RECOGNIZED THE ERROR OVER SFF AND RPTED TO SFF TWR. ON DIRECTION BY TWR, DSNDED TO 3000 FT MSL PATTERN ALT OVER SFF AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. PREVENTIVE MEASURE IS TO ALWAYS HAVE AN ELECTRONIC 'FIX' ON AN UNFAMILIAR LNDG FIELD AND TO NOT RELY ON SIGHT IDENT.
