Narrative:
After takeoff as we approached porpa, the aircraft flight director directed us to turn about 2 mi short of porpa. During taxi out, our clearance was changed from ocean 1A to ocean 1E. This change was made by changing flight director to bream the second fix. The change was reviewed by the captain and was verified as ok. Unknown to us, this method of changing the fix now made porpa a lead turn fix instead of an overfly fix.
