Narrative:
The mechanic from mia-cmw-mia flight did not want, or felt he needed, to show any kind of identify. I asked for company identify, jumpseat card, airman's certificate. He showed only company identify and walked away. Time to close door, he came back -- still he would not show any more identify. One of the cabin crew members knew him, for he goes down all the time. I told him no jumpseat, but to take a seat in the back, and he said '[obscenity]' and walked away in front of flight deck, cabin crew and passenger. Again from mnw-mia, aircraft was full. I asked for more identify. He just walked away and got on the phone. Company operations was on the phone and I got clearance to have mechanic on flight deck jumpseat. He gave no story of why he did not have identify needed. This mechanic told flight deck crew where he would take a seat. Both load manifests mia to cmw to mia listed no jumpseater on board.
