Narrative:
First officer's takeoff at vr, he started his rotation. Airspeed stayed at 156 KTS (vr) momentarily. After rotation was started, lost approximately 5 KTS of airspeed. First officer continued the takeoff. I indicated to first officer to watch his pitch as we were going through 10 degrees. Got a pitch report off the printer and called cle maintenance that we had a possible tail strike. We did not feel or hear anything indicating a tail strike. Maintenance gave the ok to continue on to lax. After landing in lax, we had maintenance inspect the aircraft and found that the tailskid was compressed with about 1/2
