Narrative:
During descent into dfw a woman had shortness of breath and also had a history of heart problems. Flight attendant found a nurse who helped her take vital signs. We declared a medical emergency and landed on runway 17R and taxied right into the gate where EMS was waiting. We called dispatch in-flight and called for EMS with ramp tower before we landed. I called dispatch after we landed and gave them a follow up report. Lady was doing much better after we landed.
