Narrative:
The 6 level WX radar display is normally blue and brown in colors. The departure east radar scope at memphis TRACON is substantially different in WX color presentation. Instead of brown (levels 4-6), the color is a light pea green. After checking with the watch supervisor and technician, it was determined the tint was incorrect. As of jul/sat/04, no adjustments have been made, and the facility log indicates the departure radar scope needs a color adjustment. During heavy WX, this situation could lead a controller to misinterpret the WX presentation. Suggest a genot be issued to all stars facilities to check color presentations of WX on all radar scopes. Notify software/hardware manufacturers of problem and instill/repair problem.
