Narrative:

Departed earlier in the morning from runway 18R, runway 18L was closed. We received ATIS that stated runway 18L was in use. We programmed the FMS for runway 18L. After pushback and ramp clearance, we proceeded H3 (on hold spot) and radioed ground. Ground's clearance was, 'golf, juliet, charlie to runway 18R.' we confirmed clearance and started taxi. While taxiing to runway, we observed several aircraft taking off from runway 18R -- the last being a B757 which was directly in front of us. To get to runway 18R, after taxiing on taxiway C, you must turn left on taxiway B, and cross runway 18L on taxiway C. We were told to switch to tower. While approaching runway 18L, without a hold short restr, I cleared left then while we were both clearing right, I noticed a beech 1900 on final for what looked like runway 18R (close parallel). After approximately 2 seconds we determined the aircraft was landing runway 18L. We immediately stopped the aircraft several ft over the hold short line for runway 18L but nowhere near the runway. Within seconds after stopping we were attempting to contact tower when tower contacted us and told us to 'cross runway 18L and hold short runway 18R.' we read back clearance and asked for a confirmation which we received. We were then cleared for takeoff on runway 18R. No further incident. Causes: miscom between ATC and flight crew, miscom between ground and tower controllers landing on inner runway with departures on outer.

Title: CONFUSION BTWN ATIS, GND CTL CLRNC AND APPARENT RWY IN USE AT MCO CAUSES CARJ CREW TO CROSS HOLD SHORT LINE OF RWY 18L AT TXWY C. STOP IN TIME TO ALLOW B190 TO LAND WITHOUT INCIDENT.

Narrative: DEPARTED EARLIER IN THE MORNING FROM RWY 18R, RWY 18L WAS CLOSED. WE RECEIVED ATIS THAT STATED RWY 18L WAS IN USE. WE PROGRAMMED THE FMS FOR RWY 18L. AFTER PUSHBACK AND RAMP CLRNC, WE PROCEEDED H3 (ON HOLD SPOT) AND RADIOED GND. GND'S CLRNC WAS, 'GOLF, JULIET, CHARLIE TO RWY 18R.' WE CONFIRMED CLRNC AND STARTED TAXI. WHILE TAXIING TO RWY, WE OBSERVED SEVERAL ACFT TAKING OFF FROM RWY 18R -- THE LAST BEING A B757 WHICH WAS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF US. TO GET TO RWY 18R, AFTER TAXIING ON TXWY C, YOU MUST TURN L ON TXWY B, AND CROSS RWY 18L ON TXWY C. WE WERE TOLD TO SWITCH TO TWR. WHILE APCHING RWY 18L, WITHOUT A HOLD SHORT RESTR, I CLRED L THEN WHILE WE WERE BOTH CLRING R, I NOTICED A BEECH 1900 ON FINAL FOR WHAT LOOKED LIKE RWY 18R (CLOSE PARALLEL). AFTER APPROX 2 SECONDS WE DETERMINED THE ACFT WAS LNDG RWY 18L. WE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ACFT SEVERAL FT OVER THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR RWY 18L BUT NOWHERE NEAR THE RWY. WITHIN SECONDS AFTER STOPPING WE WERE ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT TWR WHEN TWR CONTACTED US AND TOLD US TO 'CROSS RWY 18L AND HOLD SHORT RWY 18R.' WE READ BACK CLRNC AND ASKED FOR A CONFIRMATION WHICH WE RECEIVED. WE WERE THEN CLRED FOR TKOF ON RWY 18R. NO FURTHER INCIDENT. CAUSES: MISCOM BTWN ATC AND FLT CREW, MISCOM BTWN GND AND TWR CTLRS LNDG ON INNER RWY WITH DEPS ON OUTER.
