Narrative:
On maintenance task item 'O' there is on-going confusion as to the number of tracking tags to be made out and put in the valise of the slide. It needs to direct that 3 cards are required for each slide to include one card for the slide itself, one card for the battery, and one card for the bottle. Also, it needs to state to remove safety pin and turn it into stores. This is also very vague in the maintenance procedure manual and needs updating as to how new slides are to be done. This needs to be handled as soon as possible with all the new aircraft we are getting.

Narrative: ON MAINT TASK ITEM 'O' THERE IS ON-GOING CONFUSION AS TO THE NUMBER OF TRACKING TAGS TO BE MADE OUT AND PUT IN THE VALISE OF THE SLIDE. IT NEEDS TO DIRECT THAT 3 CARDS ARE REQUIRED FOR EACH SLIDE TO INCLUDE ONE CARD FOR THE SLIDE ITSELF, ONE CARD FOR THE BATTERY, AND ONE CARD FOR THE BOTTLE. ALSO, IT NEEDS TO STATE TO REMOVE SAFETY PIN AND TURN IT INTO STORES. THIS IS ALSO VERY VAGUE IN THE MAINT PROC MANUAL AND NEEDS UPDATING AS TO HOW NEW SLIDES ARE TO BE DONE. THIS NEEDS TO BE HANDLED ASAP WITH ALL THE NEW ACFT WE ARE GETTING.
