Narrative:

When we arrived into dallas, we found out through dispatch that we had additional trips and that he would not be getting home that evening as planned. The pilot was irate and spent the next 30 mins yelling on the phone to whoever would listen. During that time frame, I checked WX, filed appropriate flight plans and tried to calm the pilot so we could depart on time. We still ended up late and the pilot was still visibly upset. Crew coordination and implementation of SOP's was all but non existent. The pilot would not complete the checklists as required and command and response was a term that you would assume this pilot never heard of. In addition, the pilot had slammed the entry door to the aircraft so hard that he had damaged the aircraft. After unilaterally completing the checklists and departing on runway 13R the PNF read back an ATC command and never advised me, the PF, that it was a 7000 ft altitude assignment. I heard 'seven zero,' I turned the heading bug to 070 and never received a correction from the PNF because he was sitting there typing away on his pda. As I rolled out on 070 degrees, departure queried us and gave us a heading and climb. There was no further incident. I feel that I could have done better by sitting the pilot down and explaining how I need him to calm down and relax. His anger was more motivated by the fact that it was going to cost him money to get home rather than have the company airline him at their expense. In the future, I would not allow a situation like this to continue. When I am upset over something, I have the ability to leave it at the entry door and do my job. This pilot either did not have or did not want to express that ability.

Title: ANGER AND FRUSTRATION DEMONSTRATED BY THE FO OF A C650 AS RPTED BY THE PIC DEALING WITH AN UNSCHEDULED ADDED FLT FROM DAL.

Narrative: WHEN WE ARRIVED INTO DALLAS, WE FOUND OUT THROUGH DISPATCH THAT WE HAD ADDITIONAL TRIPS AND THAT HE WOULD NOT BE GETTING HOME THAT EVENING AS PLANNED. THE PLT WAS IRATE AND SPENT THE NEXT 30 MINS YELLING ON THE PHONE TO WHOEVER WOULD LISTEN. DURING THAT TIME FRAME, I CHKED WX, FILED APPROPRIATE FLT PLANS AND TRIED TO CALM THE PLT SO WE COULD DEPART ON TIME. WE STILL ENDED UP LATE AND THE PLT WAS STILL VISIBLY UPSET. CREW COORD AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SOP'S WAS ALL BUT NON EXISTENT. THE PLT WOULD NOT COMPLETE THE CHKLISTS AS REQUIRED AND COMMAND AND RESPONSE WAS A TERM THAT YOU WOULD ASSUME THIS PLT NEVER HEARD OF. IN ADDITION, THE PLT HAD SLAMMED THE ENTRY DOOR TO THE ACFT SO HARD THAT HE HAD DAMAGED THE ACFT. AFTER UNILATERALLY COMPLETING THE CHKLISTS AND DEPARTING ON RWY 13R THE PNF READ BACK AN ATC COMMAND AND NEVER ADVISED ME, THE PF, THAT IT WAS A 7000 FT ALT ASSIGNMENT. I HEARD 'SEVEN ZERO,' I TURNED THE HDG BUG TO 070 AND NEVER RECEIVED A CORRECTION FROM THE PNF BECAUSE HE WAS SITTING THERE TYPING AWAY ON HIS PDA. AS I ROLLED OUT ON 070 DEGS, DEP QUERIED US AND GAVE US A HDG AND CLB. THERE WAS NO FURTHER INCIDENT. I FEEL THAT I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER BY SITTING THE PLT DOWN AND EXPLAINING HOW I NEED HIM TO CALM DOWN AND RELAX. HIS ANGER WAS MORE MOTIVATED BY THE FACT THAT IT WAS GOING TO COST HIM MONEY TO GET HOME RATHER THAN HAVE THE COMPANY AIRLINE HIM AT THEIR EXPENSE. IN THE FUTURE, I WOULD NOT ALLOW A SIT LIKE THIS TO CONTINUE. WHEN I AM UPSET OVER SOMETHING, I HAVE THE ABILITY TO LEAVE IT AT THE ENTRY DOOR AND DO MY JOB. THIS PLT EITHER DID NOT HAVE OR DID NOT WANT TO EXPRESS THAT ABILITY.
