Narrative:
Aircraft X, B190, on a 090 degree heading to join a SID. Aircraft Y, B777, on STAR descending to 13000 ft. Aircraft X climbing to 23000 ft. Anticipating separation on climb and to cross behind. Aircraft Y stopped his descent about 16400 ft. Aircraft X saw the traffic and was told to maintain visual separation with the traffic. Aircraft X proceeded on course normally. Aircraft X climbed behind the traffic but aircraft Y climbed also closing the event. Aircraft X told me it was easy to miss the aircraft Y and indicated no complaint.
