Narrative:
Nose landing gear jammed in the up position. After failing to cure the problem using manual gear pump and all possible emergency checklist actions, a landing was made on the main gear only resulting in a sudden engine stoppage and minor damage to the cowling.

Title: UNABLE TO EXTEND NOSE GEAR BY NORMAL OR EMER MEANS, PLT OF C177 LANDS ON MAIN GEAR ONLY AT MSO. SUDDEN ENG STOPPAGE AND MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE TO ACFT RESULT.
Narrative: NOSE LNDG GEAR JAMMED IN THE UP POS. AFTER FAILING TO CURE THE PROB USING MANUAL GEAR PUMP AND ALL POSSIBLE EMER CHKLIST ACTIONS, A LNDG WAS MADE ON THE MAIN GEAR ONLY RESULTING IN A SUDDEN ENG STOPPAGE AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE COWLING.
