Narrative:
On takeoff at liftoff we had a noticeable vibration. We looked at the engine parameters and noticed that engine #2 was indicating a vibration in excess of 4.5 units. We declared an emergency and returned to the field. All appropriate checklists were concluded before landing. Upon arrival at gate we were informed by maintenance that engine #2 had a large bird strike.
