Narrative:
Aircraft X FL270 sebound. Aircraft Y climbing to FL280 talking to sector 52. I stopped aircraft Y at FL260 (via interphone with R52 controller). R52 controller did not change data block immediately. I was distraction with other control function and reacted to data block by descending aircraft X to FL250. When I realized my mistake I turned aircraft X to a 360 degree heading, then flight climbed above his assigned altitude.

Narrative: ACFT X FL270 SEBOUND. ACFT Y CLBING TO FL280 TALKING TO SECTOR 52. I STOPPED ACFT Y AT FL260 (VIA INTERPHONE WITH R52 CTLR). R52 CTLR DID NOT CHANGE DATA BLOCK IMMEDIATELY. I WAS DISTR WITH OTHER CTL FUNCTION AND REACTED TO DATA BLOCK BY DSNDING ACFT X TO FL250. WHEN I REALIZED MY MISTAKE I TURNED ACFT X TO A 360 DEG HDG, THEN FLT CLBED ABOVE HIS ASSIGNED ALT.
