On approach, flap handled selected from 20 degrees to 25 degrees with gear down. Trailing edge flaps status message. Executed modified go around. Advised tower, got turned downwind, completed non-normal checklist, advised passenger and flight attendants. Asked for emergency equipment to stand by. With our 20 degree flap landing, approach/landing uneventful.
