Narrative:

While being vectored toward lga, we experienced a stabilizer trim and mach trim failure. The captain was flying so I ran the QRH and was unable to fix the failure. We asked for and received vectors for more time to work on the problem. I called dispatch and maintenance via comrdo. Dispatch ran the landing numbers for us. Both parties (us and dispatch) agreed that an emergency declaration was not necessary. Maintenance control also gave us some additional troubleshooting ideas, although it did not fix the problem. After consulting with company, we set up for a flaps 20 degree landing as per the QRH. The approach and landing was uneventful, however, lga deployed the crash fire rescue equipment trucks as a precautionary measure. Upon landing, tower asked us if further assistance was required. We said no, and taxied in normally.
