Narrative:

Garmin 430 GPS with commercial database indicated R2503C with altitude limits of 15K to 23K restr. It showed R2503B as identical to 2503C when outlined and clicked on. Actually 2503B&C together restrict from the surface to 27K. After speaking to the controller at socal, he suggested if I click on the lower right hand corner of 2503C it would come up 0-15k. I tried it and it did -- too late now. I had violated the airspace. The database supplier should correct their display to show 0-27k restr for the entire area, no matter where you click on the map. I would have never known you could get different restr limits by clicking on different areas of the restr area unless the controller told me.
