Narrative:
Toward the end of an uneventful flight, some 30 mins from arrival, we were descending through approximately FL370 when we received a caution chime and a 'hydraulic system #2 low pressure' message on EICAS. The QRH was consulted and we noted low hydraulic fluid quantity in the #2 system reservoir (more than 15%). The abnormal checklist was run and advised a reduced flap landing (20 degrees) with braking effectiveness decreased and landing distance increased. Company dispatcher was consulted by radio and a new landing distance calculated at our destination airport (nearest suitable). We advised our flight attendants of the problem, but that they should expect no noticeable difference on the approach and landing. Our landing weight was relatively light for the CRJ700 (54000 pounds), a long, dry runway awaited us with modest wind. An uneventful approach and landing were made in cvg. ATC was advised of the problem and we told them our approach and touchdown speed would only be somewhat higher. After block-in at our gate there were large amounts of hydraulic fluid in the aft equipment bay. Mechanics meeting the aircraft suspected a chafed hydraulic line from the pump.

Title: A CARJ FLT CREW LANDS PARTIAL FLAPS AFTER DETECTING A HYD LEAK IN THEIR #2 SYS PRIOR TO LNDG AT CVG.
Narrative: TOWARD THE END OF AN UNEVENTFUL FLT, SOME 30 MINS FROM ARR, WE WERE DSNDING THROUGH APPROX FL370 WHEN WE RECEIVED A CAUTION CHIME AND A 'HYD SYS #2 LOW PRESSURE' MESSAGE ON EICAS.
